Granophyric texture
Angular intergrowths of quartz and alkali feldspar. Similar to micrographic texture and to the coarser graphic intergrowths of pegmatite.
What it means
Simultaneous crystallization of quartz and feldspar at the eutectic, or strong undercooling of the magma.
Where to look for it
Granophyre; graphic intergrowths in pegmatite
